HIDA/AOTS Scholarship Programmes

Management Training is implemented in HIDA/AOTS Training Centers. Engineers as well as middle and top managers, etc., from developing countries are invited to Japan to acquire skills and techniques in business or factory management through understanding management concepts and observing real examples of their usage.

Various management training courses are arranged for groups in different languages, subjects and managerial positions based on the training needs of the developing countries concerned and the requests from organizations both in Japan and abroad.

Subject Main objectives

EPLD (Executive Program on Leadership Development.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON

 

Program is targeted at the Top Managers in Business Management/Administrative Techniques.

Exposure is given to Leadership Styles in Japanese Industry to widen the perspectives of

participants as Leaders in the period of ongoing globalization.

EPPM (The Executive Program on Production Management

Encouraging the customized improvement of Production Systems by learning from TPS - EPPM

is designed as one of the AOTS's flag-ship courses for all the developing countries to learn

business management/administration techniques and their underlyifor ng ways of thinking which

are charactoristics of Japanese Companies. It also aims at the participants learning the theories

and main techniques of the Toyota Production System (TPS) which is at the leading edge of the

Japanese Production System and considering their own way of improving the production system at their own companies

WSBM (The Advancement for Water Supply Business Management

By attending this program you can obtain the latest information related to the Water Supply

Business and Water Supply Technologies, have a deeper insight into their management in the

future and make a plan for introducing Japanese Systems and/or technologies in your company/organisation.




Participation Requirements for Management Training Courses

Applicants should satisfy the following basic requirements as well as specific requirements stipulated for the respective training program:
  1. Applicants should be residing in Sri Lanka.
  2. Applicants should be university graduates and/or have equivalent professional experience.
  3. Applicants should be between 25 and 60 years of age.
  4. Applicants should have a sufficient working knowledge of English.
  5. Applicants should be healthy enough to undergo an intensive training program in Japan.
  6. Applicants should in principle be Senior Managers, Executives or Owners of Companies.
  7. AOTS ex-participants who have recently been awarded an AOTS Scholarship and participated in an AOTS training program in Japan are not entitled to apply for any program which starts within six months (183 days) after they have returned home from Japan.
  8. Applicants should not be students or armed forces personnel.
