“Taiki Akimoto” 5s Awards Ceremony for 2009 was conducted on 3 April 2010 at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo in the presence of a large gathering of over 300 guests, mainly from the competitor institutions.
Monthly Financial Awards for a period of 18 months to 30-35 deserving (less privileged) students who performed very well at the GCE (Ord/Lev) Examination to qualify for the GCE (Adv/Lev) studies from the rural Sri Lanka will be given from the Madam Ogawa Trust Fund of JASTECA.
Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association, established in 1984 is a non profit service organization and functions as the alumni of the Oversea Human Resources & Industry Development Association (HIDA)Japan. Japan Sri Lanka technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA) with the patronage of their parent organisation in Japan, overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) is offering part funded management scholarships to Sri Lankan professionals.
JASTECA's Founder President, Late Ian Dias Abeysinghe's photograph was unveiled at the JASTECA Office at a simple ceremony on 25 August 2011, during the Executive Committee Meeting of JASTECA scheduled at 5.30pm.
Mr Dayasiri Warnakulasooriya, the senior vice patron of JASTECA unveiled the photograph amidst the members of the JASTECA Executive Committee, followed by the garlanding of the photograph by Mr Mahinda Saranapala, the President of JASTECA.
JASTECA donates US$ 50,000 to tsunami fund in JAPAN
In a magnanimous gesture JASTECA donated US $50,000 to the Tsunami Fund established by AOTS, Japan. This substatial donation was possible due to the generosity of our Corporate Members, General Membership & well wishers, in response to the press notification made by JASTECA soon after the devastating disaster that struck the suburb of Tokyo, Japan in 2011.
The JASTECA Institute of management (JIM) was established as a Trust of JASTECA in 2003 for the purpose of providing Japanese Style Management Training to all levels of staff in industrial and commercial ventures. JIM conducts regular Workshops, Seminars, Lectures and Video programs on Japanese Management Systems.
